The Lebanon Borough Town Council recently welcomed BSA Troop 200 back to
the Borough. Now in its sixty-sixth year, the Troop is chartered by Lebanon Reformed Church. Members of the troop and church were on hand as Mayor James Pittinger, a former Troop 200 Assistant Scoutmaster and father of an Eagle Scout, read the proclamation. The namesakes for
Lebanon's Holjes-Sheppard Memorial Park; Lt. Frederick Y. Holjes and Warrant Officer Robert P. Sheppard, were both members of Troop 200, and Sheppard was the troop's first Eagle Scout. The neckerchiefs Troop 200 scouts wear are embroidered with the names Holjes and Sheppard along
with fireworks, symbolizing Lebanon Borough's annual Fourth of July parade.

Troop 200 is a high-adventure, scout-led troop. The Scouts meet on Monday evenings during the school year and are chartered by the Lebanon Reformed Church. For more information, follow BSA Troop 200 on Facebook, Troop 200 NJ on Instagram or reach out via email to Troop200NJ@gmail.com.
