Vegetation Management Aerial Patrols Flying Over Flemington

JEFFERSON, NJ — FirstEnergy and JCP&L will be conducting Annual Vegetation Management Aerial Patrols in Jefferson between Monday and Tuesday, police announced.

The point of patrols is to identify conditions that may threaten the safety and reliability of the transmission system.

A helicopter from HeloAir will be flying at a speed of about 35-40 mph above or alongside the lines and may circle around for a closer inspection.

Vegetation Aerial inspections are scheduled anywhere between April and September, covering all transmission facilities system-wide annually.
