3 Hospitalized After Sunday Car Crash In Freehold: MCPO

Three individuals were hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash on Siloam Road in Freehold Township on Sunday, authorities said.

FREEHOLD, NJ — Three individuals were hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash on Siloam Road in Freehold Township on Sunday, authorities said.

At approximately 8:11 p.m., a two-vehicle motor vehicle collision occurred on Siloam Road, with one passenger trapped in the front seat with life-threatening injuries, a spokesman from the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicles were a 2015 Audi S3 was being driven by a 25-year-old male, traveling south on Siloam Road with a female passenger and a 2014 Dodge Ram 250 traveling south towing a utility trailer operated by a sole 38-year old male occupant.

Both vehicles sustained front end, angular damage towards the passenger side, as the collision took place near the center of the roadway, the prosecutor's office said. The passenger was trapped in the front seat of the Audi had to be extricated and flown to a local hospital.

Both drivers were also taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, the Freehold Township Police and the Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART).
