45th Monmouth County Fair Set To Open Wednesday
The storm that pummeled parts of Monmouth County left the fairgrounds in eastern Freehold unscathed.

FREEHOLD, NJ — While crews were cleaning up downed trees and power lines and restoring electricity to thousands of residents across Monmouth County following Monday's storm, those preparing for this week's Monmouth County Fair were breathing a sigh of relief.
The fairgrounds were spared any serious damage during the storm that pounded a number of Monmouth County towns, including Howell and Wall townships.
"We had a few minor issues," said Karen Livingstone, spokesperson for the Monmouth County Parks and Recreation Department. "We are on schedule for opening at 5 o'clock."
