A Local Editor's Goodbye to Freehold

My last day as the Freehold Local Editor will be Wednesday, April 10.

For the last year and a half, I have had the privilege of working for Patch and telling the stories of many Monmouth County residents.

While the beginning of my career with Patch consisted of jumping around to numerous sites all over Monmouth County, I was eventually given the title of Local Editor and was able to put down roots in Freehold.

Since I grew up in Colts Neck, I thought I knew Freehold. However, I quickly learned that there is so much more to this town than just great restaurants and shopping.

As a Local Editor for Freehold Patch, I have covered everything from natural disasters to celebrity chefs; pop stars to Governor Christie. While those experiences will be some that I never forget, the true highlight of my time with Freehold Patch has been the opportunity to meet and tell the stories of the many wonderful residents that make Freehold so great.

My last day as a Local Editor will be Wednesday, April 10. The next step in my career is taking me out of New Jersey and into Alabama to give on-camera reporting a try for a local CBS television station. If the next town I cover is half as welcoming and friendly as Freehold has been to me, I will consider myself a very lucky girl.
