After Car Accident, Dog Goes Missing In Upper Freehold
Rosie, a four-year-old poodle mix, has gone missing in the Upper Freehold area.

UPPER FREEHOLD, NJ – It’s every pet owner’s worst nightmare.
In an unfortunate string of events, poodle mix Rosie ran away from her owner Angela Brun after the two were involved in a July 8 car accident in Upper Freehold. The four-year-old dog was last seen sprinting toward a nearby pheasant farm with her collar and leash still attached.
The Wednesday morning crash was located at the intersection Herbert Road and Imlaystown Hightstown Road and resulted in the owner’s vehicle overturning. Brun suffered minor injuries while Rosie seemed to run away unscathed.

Both owner and pet were on their way to a dog groomer when the incident occurred.
The black-and-white pup has been spotted several times shortly after the incident in the Assunpink trails, but was unable to be rescued. As a poodle mix, she is spooked easily and will flee if approached, according to her owner.

“She is the best dog I’ve ever had, and my kids are heartbroken,” said Brun in a Facebook post.
Although the accident only took place one mile from the owner’s residence, Brun is worried that the pet will become confused and lost in the thick forests near Allentown and Cream Ridge.
Those with any information about Rosie’s whereabouts are asked to contact the owner at (609) 558-3421.
