Arrest Made in Freehold CVS Armed Robbery
A Neptune man is accused of stealing cough syrup at gunpoint.
Freehold Borough police charged a Neptune man in last month's armed robbery at CVS.
Abdul M. Muhammad, 20, allegedly walked behind the CVS pharmacy counter around 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8. When he was confronted by an employee, police say he produced a gun.
He allegedly took prescription cough syrup before leaving the store on foot along Broad Street. The Freehold Borough Police Department released a surveillance photo from the store following the robbery.
Muhammad has been charged with robbery and weapons possession. He was remanded to Monmouth County Correctional Institution on $110,000 bond with no option to post 10 percent.
