Avid Dirt Racer Scott T. Reid, Formerly Of Freehold, Dies At 39
Scott T. Reid was born and raised in Freehold and lived there until relocating to Florida. His family is planning a celebration of his life.

FREEHOLD, NJ —Family and friends are mourning the death of Scott T. Reid, a former Freehold resident. Reid died Oct. 9, 2019 at his home in Florida. He was 39.

Scott Reid was born in Freehold and lived there the majority of his life before relocating in Florida. He had a tremendous passion for racing and was once named the rookie champion of the year in dirt racing. He was an avid Jets and Yankees fan. Scott always had a smile on his face and a joke on his lips. He enjoyed life, family members and many friends. Scott was always there to brighten the lives of others.

Scott's daughter, niece, and nephews were the pride and joy of his life. The legacy of Scott's kind spirit, passion for sports, love of racing, and zest for life will live on through them all.
He is survived by his fiancée, Amber; his daughter, Izabella; Amber’s children, Emma, Ethan, Jillyann and Jaidyn; his mother and father, Michele and Randall Reid, and his sister, Jaime Higgins, her husband, Matt; and his niece and nephews, Olivia, Stephen and Hunter.

Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life on Sunday, Nov. 10 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Freehold Elks Lodge, 73 East Main St., Freehold.
