Following the student
recital, Vyacheslav Gryaznov performed a moving rendition of one of
the most difficult pieces in piano repertoire, Liszt's Transcendental
Etudes. These young performers had the benefit of both hearing a
professional pianist perform, and of playing on the same program with
him. Mr. Gryaznov is a member of the Moscow Philharmonic Society and
is an artist-in-residence with the Drozdoff Society. He has won
international competitions in Italy, Ukraine, Denmark, Georgia,
Japan, the United States, and throughout Russia.
