Cecilian Music Club Presents 28th Cecilian Award Competition
Cecilian Music Club Presents 28th Annual Ceciian Award Competition Gold and Silver Recitals

On Sunday, May 11th, 2019, the Cecilian Music Club presented its 28th Annual
Cecilian Award Competition Gold and Silver recitals in Wilson Hall at
Monmouth University in West Long Branch. The students who perform in
these recitals have to pass an audition, in which they are judged on
their musicianship and performance skills.
In the Silver recital,piano solos were performed by: Lucas Alberto, Robyn Alberto,
Elizabeth Darrar, Ovia Dushyanthan, Ishan Hemmige, Madhumita Karron,
Abishek Prakash, Isaac Schmetterer, Sophia Schwab, Beatrice So,
Florence So, John Szumowski, Erika Tan, Julie Wang, and Julian Wong.
Melanie Tan and Timothy Chiu performed a piano duet, and Florence So,
Beatrice So, and Bryanna Liu performed a piano trio. Isabel Postelnek
played a flute solo, and John Szumowski performed on trumpet.
In the Gold recital,piano solos were performed by: Katharine Arthur, Gray Barnum, Julie
Ham, Dhruv Hemmige, Maegan Hontanosas, Samuel Jackson, Julia Jiang,
Amasha Jayaratyne, Isha Kargaonkar, Beatrice Karron, William Kovacs,
Matthew Kuo, Michelle Kuo, Andrew Lee, Ashley Lee, Bryanna Liu,
Hayden Marciszewski, Emylene Quan, Liam Umbs, Elizabeth Wang, Ashley
Wang, Elizabeth Wright, Joshua Yi, Julia Yi, and Kayla Yong. Piano
duets were performed by: Justin Ham/Andrew Herh, Julia Ham/Joshua Yi,
and Raeann Hontanosas/Maegen Hontanosas. Ashley Wang, Michelle Kuo,
and Elizabeth Wang performed a piano trio. Chiara Chiricolo played a
harp solo.

Teachers who prepared students for this recital are: Colette Adams, Jennifer Brush, Yvonne
Huang, Lola Kvachadze, Miriam Lerner, Marjorie Mollenauer, Corina
