Dino Safari Drive-Thru Adventure Coming To Freehold Raceway Mall

FREEHOLD, NJ – If you want to see life-sized dinosaurs without leaving New Jersey, look no further: the Freehold Raceway Mall will be transformed into a prehistoric safari with over 40 true-to-size moving dinosaurs later this month.

The drive-through “Dino Safari” exhibit is open to all ages and will be hosted at the mall from July 10 through Aug. 8. Dinosaur displays will include up-close views of Triceratops, Parasaurolophus, Microraptor and of course, T. Rex, to name a few.

Dino Safari participants will be able to learn how dinosaurs evolved over time, where they called home, and the discoveries paleontologists have made about how they ate, moved, and behaved, according to a news release. Kids and families will be guided through the fictional “Pangea National Park” by an audio tour (available in both English and Spanish) that plays through each car’s audio system, featuring fun and friendly characters.

But explorers should be warned: along the journey, earthquakes might erupt, dinosaurs could battle, and families might just have to help save a baby dinosaur’s life.

The installation was conceptualized by paleontologist Dr. Gregory Erickson and features fact-based, educational content in addition to a thrilling storyline. Each vehicle will be given a “Survival Pack” containing a Pangea passport with a scavenger hunt and other fun surprises.
