70s Hitmakers Ambrosia Joins The Cryers in Downtown Freehold

For one night only, The Cryers, a New Jersey pure roots-rock band, will playwith Ambrosia, the five-time Grammy nominated group whose songs are still frequently played on rock radio, at the American Hotel in Downtown Freehold on Thursday, October 25, starting at 8:00 pm.

Presented by The Monmouth Academy of Musical Arts, the concert will be followed by a meet and greet with both bands and CDs will be available for purchase. In addition, Market Yard Grille, the restaurant of the American Hotel, will be offering a 10 percent discount on your pre-show dinner.

The concert opens opens with a spirited set by the Cryers performing its original music followed by Ambrosia. The Cryers, a professional recording and touring act, will play its popular songs including, “I Think She Knows,” “Behind Those Eyes," and “Don’t Bother Me, Please.” The band -- which consists of bassist/vocalist Joe Orlando, guitarist/vocalist Jeff Brown, keyboardist/vocalist Belle Liao and drummer Roger Wolford -- also performs a select variety of classic covers.

The second set features Ambrosia, comprised of Joe Puerta, Christopher North, Burleigh Drummond, Rick Cowling, Doug Jackson, Tollak Ollestad and Mary Harris. Ambrosia's perennially popular hits include, "You're the Biggest Part of Me," ""How Much I Feel," and "You're the Only Woman," and more.
