Sophomore linebacker Gene Blanco of the Muhlenberg College football team was named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for excellence in the classroom and on the field.
To be named to the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.40 or higher and be a starter or key reserve on his team.

Blanco appeared in every game as a member of Muhlenberg’s special teams, totaling 13 tackles on the season, including seven solo hits. He was honored as Muhlenberg’s special teams MVP in its 61-21 victory over Dickinson, and also received the coaches’ award for “Big Play Special Teams” in a victory over Juniata.
Deans List at Rochester Institute of Technology:
- Brian Besmanoff a second-year student in RIT's B. Thomas Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences.
- Marie Daugherty a second-year student in RIT's Kate Gleason College of Engineering.
- Justin Eng a first-year student in RIT's Kate Gleason College of Engineering.
- Lisamarie Gaeta a fourth-year student in RIT's College of Liberal Arts.
Dean's List at University of the Sciences
- Jaclyn Kowalczyk, a doctor of pharmacy student has been named to the summer 2012 dean's list at University of the Sciences. Selection for this award is based on completing and passing all assigned courses with no grade below a "C" and attaining an academic average of at least 3.4 for courses taken in the summer semester of 2012.
Honors from University of Delaware
- Jason Rubinstein of Freehold was named one of the top students in the University of Delaware Honors Program to be recognized for earning 18 or more Honors credits in their first two years at the University and have overall GPAs of 3.20 or higher.
