Freehold Man Indicted on Heroin Possession

A Monmouth County grand jury voted to indict a Freehold man on a sole drug charge.

Azatbek Islambekov, 29, of Bond Street, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance in September 2012. According to his indictment, the controlled dangerous substance Islambekov possessed was heroin.

Islambekov’s was indicted on Wednesday, Jan. 30. He allegedly possessed the drug while he was in Freehold Borough. His possession charge is considered a third-degree crime.
