Freehold Public Library Receives $1,500 Grant
The library will use the grant to acquire technology and supplies to assist students.
The Freehold Borough Educational Foundation (FBEF) has awarded the Freehold Public Library a $1,500.00 grant.
The grant proposal, "Project Central @ Freehold Public Library," was inspired by students who come to the library to work on collaborative assignments and projects, as well as multimedia or technology-based homework, according to a press release issued by the FBEF.

The library is a popular destination when students need to meet after school to work together. Staff assist with research, and students often use craft supplies and computers to make posters and other projects. Many projects are entirely computer-based and differences in software have sometimes been a problem.
With the grant from the FBEF, the library will acquire several of the same technology devices the students use in school, as well as supplies such as poster board and other common project construction materials.
