Freehold Township Field Hockey Recognized at Comittee Meeting
The athletes received certificates of achievement for their hard work associated with winning a state championship.
The Freehold Township Committee honored the Girls’ Varsity Field Hockey team at their regular meeting on Feb. 28.
The team had an outstanding 2011 season earning the Central Jersey Group IV State Championship and ranking #5 in the Asbury Park Press Shore Conference Top 10.
The athletes were presented with a certificate of achievement at the meeting. The certificate read by Mayor Anthony Ammiano said, “More than simply reaching these spectacular goals, the Girls’ Varsity Field Hockey Team combined hard work, passion for the sport and dedication to one another.”
