The Freehold Borough school is hosting a free event where families can learn more about healthy living.

Freehold families have the opportunity to learn about health and fitness together during the ’s (FLC) Family Fit Night.

Christopher Naspo, the health and physical education teacher at FLC started this event last year to educate families in the district. “I wanted to create an opportunity for families to not only learn about nutrition and fitness but to have to participate in activities where they can move and exercise together,” he explained.

The event is free and will be on Thursday, March 15 from 6-8:00 p.m. All families in the Freehold Borough School District are invited to this annual event.

“I came up with this idea last year in an effort to address childhood obesity. I believe that the most powerful way to stop this problem is to commit to a healthy lifestyle as a family,” said Naspo.

According to Naspo, the goal of the event is to empower all families to make healthy decisions and sustain healthy lifestyles. It will also create opportunities for families to connect and support each other in their efforts to be healthy.
