The Rutgers Master Gardeners of Monmouth County's annual plant sale in Freehold will offer tips and tricks to help you find your green thumb

Looking to brighten your yard for the spring and summer?

The Rutgers Master Gardeners of Monmouth County will have just what you need at their plant sale.

The sale, set for May 15 and 16 at 4000 Kozloski Road, Freehold, will have a large variety of flowers, trees and shrubs, including:

  • Colorful annuals
  • Hardy perennials, including deer resistant, drought tolerant and native plants
  • Flowering hanging baskets, patio/deck containers filled with vibrant arrangements
  • Vegetables plants including, peppers, heirloom tomatoes, beans, herbs, etc.
  • Trees and shrubs
  • Bird Houses, sieves for compost etc.

An indoor Trash to Treasure sale will include gardening books, tools and collectibles, and members of the Master Gardeners will be available to answer questions and will offer free gardening talks throughout both days.

The sale runs 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday, May 15, and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, May 16.
