Here's Who Filed For Freehold Township Committee In 2021
Two candidates are running for open seats on the Freehold Township Committee this year. Here's who they are:

FREEHOLD, NJ - Two seats are up for grabs on the Freehold Township Committee this year, and two candidates have filed for a spot.
Republican incumbents Mayor Thomas L. Cook and Deputy Mayor Anthony J. Ammiano are running unopposed for their seats in 2021. No Democratic candidates filed this year, according to the township municipal clerk.
Cook began his first term as mayor in 2015 and deputy mayor in 2018. He is on the Planning Board and is a liaison to the Lake Topenamus Commission, the Cable TV Advisory Committee, and the Emergency Management Council. He is a reprographics director for a large international law firm headquartered in New York City.

Ammiano has served on the Township Committee since 2001 and served as the township’s mayor in 2006, 2009, 2012 and 2018 (he also served as deputy mayor in 2003, 2013, 2014 and 2015). He has been a fixture on the Planning Board since 2000 and has resided in Freehold Township since 1996. He currently serves as Chairman of the Finance & Administration and Vice Chairman of the Community Services & Activities Subcommittee, according to the municipal website, and is a member of the Board of Health and liaison to the Parks & Recreation Commission.
