Let's Yo! to a Futuristic Frozen Yogurt Experience in Freehold

When you head to the , you will pull the door open with giant green spoons and enter a yogurt experience unlike another.

With 12 iPads scattered around the store, free wifi, a flat screen TV and a social media station, new yogurt store is a funky, futuristic place to get a delicious frozen treat.

“It’s just a very cool, hip place to be,” said Pete Chalfin, owner of the Freehold store. “We have been packed since we opened!”

Let’s Yo! is a frozen yogurt chain with over 30 locations in New Jersey, New York and Florida and still growing. The Freehold edition opened its doors on June 6 and has been filling cravings and cups ever since.

The chains offer a variety of permanent and seasonal frozen yogurt flavors in nonfat, low fat, reduced fat and no sugar added varieties, in addition to serving sorbet, coffee and espresso drinks, hot chocolate and cereal.

The Freehold store has 7 self-serve stations, each with two unique flavors, where patrons can choose to fill their cup with single or swirl options. The yogurt is 49 cents per ounce, and customers pay after weighing their cup.

“We usually change 1-2 flavors a week,” explained Chalfin. “The few popular flavors we keep.”

Some of the more popular flavors according to Chalfin are Dreamy Dark Chocolate, Tahitian Vanilla, Birthday Cake and Cookies & Cream. The most unique flavor on the board during the interview was Sea Salt Carmel Pretzel.

After choosing your yogurt flavor, or two, it’s onto the toppings, of which there is no shortage. Cereal, fresh fruit, granola, candy, sprinkles, cookies, chocolate covered pretzels...the list goes on. Top it off with whipped cream, hot fudge or hot caramel, and you may have made the perfect sundae.

According to Chalfin, he is not afraid of competition in the fast-growing market of frozen treats simply because of these tasty options. “Honestly, we have the absolute best tasting yogurt of any franchise according to our customers,” he said.

So, if you want to be the judge, head to the store. Let’s Yo! is located in the Mount’s Corner Shopping Plaza. They are open Mon-Thurs 9 a.m. until 11:00 p.m., Fri and Sat from 9 a.m. until midnight and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Looking for a cool way to raise money? As a township resident for 8 years with two kids in the schools system, Chalfin says that he plans on partnering with many local organizations to do fundraisers for the local PTA’s, sports clubs, scouts, etc.
