139K customers are without electricity in Monmouth County, according to JCP&L. Over 12,000 residences are out of power in Freehold Township
FREEHOLD, NJ – As of 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday, over 139,000 customers are without electricity in Monmouth County, according to JCP&L. Freehold is one of the hardest hit, with 12,804 (85.02% of Freehold Township customers) affected in the township and 2,624 affected in Freehold Borough.

In advance of the storm, Gov. Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency earlier Tuesday morning. State police urge residents to stay home and off the roads unless travel is necessary.

3-6 inches of rainfall is expected in the region, according to Freehold Borough police. A flash flood watch is in effect: Expect flooding in low-lying areas that typically do so.
