State Aid For Freehold Regional Schools Decreases For 2020-21

This upcoming year, Freehold regional high schools will receive $40.7 million from the state, down 12.4 percent from last year.

FREEHOLD, NJ — Gov. Phil Murphy released his revised state aid figures last week, leaving Freehold regional high schools with about $5 million less than they did last year.

For the upcoming 2020-21 school year, the regional high schools will receive a combined $40.7 million from the state, down 12.4 percent from the $46 million received in 2019.

This year's grand total will include $1,816,395 in transportation aid, $735,594 in security aid and $7,030,185 in special education aid.

The first day for Freehold regional high schools is Sept. 10, and the district is still on track to reopen virtually until at least Oct. 19.
