Hydrant Flushing in Freehold Township

The Freehold Township Water Department will commence hydrant flushing on Monday, March 11 and will continue flushing through Friday, June 28. Flushing will be done between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. The flushing may cause the water to become slightly discolored. Running the cold water for several minutes should clear up the problem. Call 732-294-2170 with any questions or concerns.

St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations

Downtown Freehold is preparing for St. Patrick’s Day with Irish week festivities beginning on Tuesday, March 12. More information about the events can be seen here.

The FBAC’s second annual St. Patrick’s Day parade will be held on Sunday, March 17. 

Government meetings

The Freehold Borough Planning Board will meet on Wednesday, March 13. The meeting will be held in the Freehold Borough Offices and will begin at 7:30 p.m.

The Freehold Township Committee meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday, March 12 has been cancelled. The committee will meet next on Thursday, March 21.

The Freehold Township Recreation Commission will meet on Wednesday, March 13. The meeting will be held at Michael J. Tighe Park and will begin at 7:30 p.m. 

The Freehold Township Zoning Board of Adjustment meeting scheduled for Thursday, March 14 has been cancelled. The zoning board will meet next on Thursday, March 28.

School Events

The Freehold Borough Board of Education will meet on Monday, March 11. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and will be held in the Park Avenue Complex cafeteria. The Freehold Township Board of Education will meet at 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 12. The meeting will be held in the conference room of the board office. This meeting’s agenda is not available online yet.
