Woman Accused of Passing Forged Prescription at Freehold CVS

Freehold Township Police arrested a woman and charged her with forgery, receiving stolen property and uttering a forged document.

A woman was arrested and charged by Freehold Township Police on Wednesday, after she allegedly attempted to use a forged prescription to obtain a controlled dangerous substance.

Valerie Scott, 48, whose last known address is in Rahway, allegedly entered the Freehold Township CVS and tried to fill a prescription for oxycodone. For the alleged action, Scott has been charged with fraud and with receiving stolen property.

According to Scott’s complaint warrant, she allegedly knew the prescription blank she possessed was stolen. Scott has also been charged with uttering a forged document.

Scott has been remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution (MCCI) on $60,000 bail.
