2021 Guide To Memorial Day Events In South Jersey
While some towns have scrapped plans for Memorial Day this year, other municipalities are planning some big events. Here's the list.
With outdoor gathering limits now lifted as of May 19, several municipalities in South Jersey have announced that Memorial Day parades and activities will go on as planned.
Other municipalities in the county and throughout New Jersey have scrapped parades this year, citing health concerns amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Cinnaminson: After a one-year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, Cinnaminson Township has made the decision to host a Memorial Day Ceremony. Moorestown: Moorestown’s Memorial Day Ceremony takes place at 10 a.m. May 31 at Memorial Field, 254 South Church Street. The theme will be the War on Terror, and the keynote speaker will be Lt. Col. Alan Van Saun. Read more here: Moorestown Returns To Live Memorial Day Ceremony Amid Pandemic

Gloucester Township: Gloucester Township will hold its annual Memorial Day Ceremony with a traditional visit to the township's memorials before a formal ceremony at Veterans Park, 1261 Chews Landing Road, at noon on May 31. Read more here: Gloucester Township’s Memorial Day Service Set For May 31
Cherry Hill: For the second straight year, Cherry Hill will host a virtual Memorial Day ceremony, Mayor Susan Shin Angulo announced. It will be available on the township's website and social media pages at 11:30 a.m. on May 31. Read more here: Cherry Hill Set For Virtual Memorial Day Ceremony
Haddon Township: A Memorial Day Service will be held on May 31, 10 a.m. at the Westmont Fire Co. 1, 120 Haddon Avenue. All are welcome.
West Deptford: A Memorial Day Service will be held on May 31, 8:30 a.m. at West Depford Veteran’s Plaza.
Glassboro: Glassboro's 100-year-old Memorial Day Parade is set for 10 a.m. on May 31. F16 jets will be flown by the New Jersey Air National Guard 177th Fighter Wing in Atlantic City and will soar over the Glassboro War Memorial located in the new town square at the corner of High and Main and continue over the parade route as it approaches downtown.
Camden County: Camden County will host its Memorial Day Ceremony on May 31, 11 a.m. on Veterans Island at Cooper River Park. The ceremony will honor the memory of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country with a musical tribute from the Tri County Symphonic Band, speaking program, refreshments and more. Gloucester County: Gloucester County's annual Memorial Day Ceremony is set for 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 30, county officials announced. Wreaths will be placed to honor fallen comrades during the hour-long ceremony that will conclude with a rifle salute and TAPS. Memorial Day Weekend Fireworks at Renault: Renault Winery hosts a day of celebration May 30. It begins with Penny Rhoads from noon to 4 p.m., followed by a Johnny Cash Tribute band at 7 p.m. and a fireworks show at 9 p.m.
Memorial Day Weekend BBQ at Bellview: Who doesn't love a good BBQ to get into the summer mindset? Join them Saturday May 29th from 12pm-5pm for their kickoff to the summer season. Bring out your friends and family to share a chilled carafe of their specialty sangria while you enjoy a BBQ lunch from one of their food trucks.
Memorial Day at White Horse Winery: Stop in at White Horse Winery to celebrate Memorial Day Opening! Special opening of their tasting room from noon to 5 p.m. on May 31.
