The Average SAT Score For Black Horse Pike Students Amid COVID

The NJ Department of Education has released the average SAT score for each school for 2019-20, a year drastically altered by the pandemic.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Students in the Black Horse Regional Public School District averaged 998 on their SATs for the 2019-20 school year, a year that was drastically altered by the coronavirus pandemic, according to data recently released by the New Jersey Department of Education.

The district, which includes Highland, Timber Creek and Triton regional high schools, serves as the sending district for Gloucester Township, Runnemede and Bellmawr. Specifics about test scores were not broken down by town or school.

The SAT is still considered the primary standardized test that judges a student's college qualifications. And even in the middle of a pandemic, they play an important role for New Jersey seniors who are already looking at colleges – even as testing has been delayed, or centers have been closed because of the coronavirus.
