Black Horse Pike Board Of Education Appoints New Member
Matthew Jefferson has been appointed as the newest member of the Black Horse Pike Regional School District Board of Education.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Matthew Jefferson has been appointed as the newest member of the Black Horse Pike Regional School District Board of Education, according to the school district.
He was appointed to fill the vacant seat representing Gloucester Township at last week’s Board of Education meeting at Triton Regional High School, according to a district representative.
The seat previously belonged to Dawn Leary, according to Superintendent of Schools Brian Repici. Jefferson wasone of five people who applied for the position, according to the district’s business office.

Jefferson will serve through the board's reorganization meeting in January 2022, according to the district website. He can run in November's election for the seat if he so chooses.
Seven seats on the school board are allocated to Gloucester Township residents. The other seats allocated to represent the township are currently occupied by Board Vice President Jay McMillian, Kevin Bucceroni, Joyce Ellis, Kaitlyn Hutchison, Kevin McElroy and Jennifer Storer.

The Black Horse Pike Regional School District oversees three high schools serving students in Gloucester Township, Bellmawr and Runnemede. In addition to Triton, Highland and Timber Creek regional high schools are in the district.
