CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — It appears as though the snow is finished falling, and the Camden County Department of Public Works has taken to the roads to clear away the accumulation the region saw overnight, officials said.

“Current forecasts suggest that snow is finished falling, but our region received another 2.5” to 4.5” of accumulation overnight. County crews have been on the job since early in the morning to make sure that all county roadways remain clear and passable,” Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, said. “While our crews will continue clearing roads throughout the day, remember that as the temperature drops this evening, the potential for freezing on roadways increases again. Be extra cautious, take your time, and make sure you give our crews plenty of room to work.”

More than 100 pieces of equipment and 100 employees have been deployed from the Public Works complex in Lindenwold to Camden County’s 12 winter maintenance districts. The county’s response plan calls for crews to be dispatched only to the zones where they are needed.
