Child Critical After Being Hit By Car In Gloucester Twp: Police

A child was hit by a car in Gloucester Township Monday night, and was listed in critical condition Tuesday morning.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A child is in critical condition after being hit by a car in Gloucester Township Monday night, police said.

The child was hit in the area of Sicklerville Road between King's Road and Jarvis Road just before 9 p.m. Monday night, Gloucester Township police said early Tuesday morning.

The child, who was not identified, appeared to have serious injuries and was taken to Cooper Trauma by EMS, police said. The child was being evaluated and was listed in critical condition.

The striking car remained on the scene, police said. The area was shut down for about two and a half hours.
