GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Bubba’s Beds for Shelter Friends recently made a donation to the Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center that ensures 100 dogs at the shelter who are waiting to be adopted have a bed to sleep in.

Bubba’s Beds made use of a grant that allowed for the delivery of 100 Kuranda beds, a special type of rugged, easy-to-sanitize kennel bed that is chew-proof and comfortable, to the adoption center on Tuesday, according to county officials.

It is the largest donation of its kind that Bubba’s Beds has made since its inception in 2017, according to officials. The beds arrived fully-built by the staff and volunteers of Bubba’s Beds and were immediately put to use in Homeward Bound’s dog kennels.

“We are extremely grateful for Bubba’s Beds’ generosity as we transition into winter months and colder weather,” Freeholder Jonathan Young, liaison to the Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center, said. “None of us would let our pets spend the night on a concrete floor, and the pets in our care at Homeward Bound are cared for the same way. These beds will help keep our dogs warm and dry as they wait to find their new forever home.”
