Driver Rescued From Flooded Car In Winslow Township: Police

A driver became stuck in a flooded car while attempting to drive through floodwaters in Winslow on Monday, police said.

WINSLOW TOWNSHIP, NJ — Police in Camden County rescued a driver who became trapped in their car as it began to fill with floodwater during Monday afternoon’s thunderstorms.

The driver became stuck in flooding at the intersection of Myers Avenue and Route 73 in Cedar Brook late Monday afternoon, according to Winslow Township police.

The car became flooded, and the driver was rescued by Winslow Township police. Drivers are advised to avoid the area, as there is still flooding and a heavy police presence in the area. Images from the scene can be found below.

“Please, if you see a flooded roadway, do not put yourself in danger and stay out of the water,” police said in a statement.
