Camden County College hosts a day focused on engaging families through education, information, and fun.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Camden County College hosts a day focused on engaging families through education, information, and fun for participants of all ages this weekend. Camden Family Day is set for Saturday, Oct. 21, at Camden County College, 200 College Drive in the Blackwood section of the township, 10 a.m.

The college and its partners will fill College Hall with interactive workshops, generally designed to be something parents and children can do together, county officials said. This year’s partners include the Camden County One-Stop, Hopeworks ’N Camden, Ravitz ShopRite and PriceRite, Hispanic Family Center, Bridge Empowerment and Leadership Program, Urban Promise, United Way, Townsend Press, Camden County Library, Settlement Music School-Camden Branch, and Teach for America.

“Being one of the key institutions in the city we always want to take an opportunity to open our doors and welcome the community into our classrooms,” Camden County Freeholder Deputy Director Ed McDonnell, liaison to the Camden County College said. “Family Day is a chance to bring families together and to strengthen their bond with the college and everything that it has to offer. There’s something for everybody, and we encourage everybody to bring their family, learn something new, and get to know their community college.”
