Super shortstop Joe Sigismondi is making a name for himself in his freshman year at Rutgers-Camden.
For the second time in the first six weeks of the season he has been named the New Jersey Athletic Conference rookie of the week.
He hit .483 (14-for-29) during the Scarlet Raptors’ nine games in Florida between Monday and Saturday last week, collecting six RBIs and scoring six runs. He added five walks, one hit by pitch and two sacrifices, while posting a .571 on-base percentage. He had a .962 fielding percentage with only one error in 26 chances, collecting eight putouts and 17 assists.

The former Highland Regional High School standout is hitting .429 this season with 11 runs and 11 RBIs, owns a .446 slugging percentage and a .543 on-base percentage.
