So far, more than 16,000 Camden County residents have received their first doses at the county vaccination site, Cappelli said. There have also been more than 1,000 second doses administered at the site.

Separately, it has been announced that the state’s mega-site at the Moorestown Mall will be closed, but the mega-site at Rowan College of South Jersey in Deptford will remain open.

All vaccination sites have contingency plans in place in the event they have to cancel appointments, New Jersey Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli said during a separate news conference Wednesday afternoon.

She also said shipments of the vaccine into New Jersey have been delayed due to inclement weather across the country.

"Most vaccine sites in the state are using inventory they have on hand to ensure appointments are kept," Persichilli said. "All sites are expected to have plans in place for rescheduling appointments should they not have the sufficient inventory."

The four-lane vaccination site at Camden County College is open Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is supported by volunteers from Cooper University Health Care, Jefferson Health — New Jersey, Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, and Rutgers College of Nursing, who will distribute the Moderna Vaccine.
