GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Gloucester Township police are launching a new social media initiative to help reunite residents with their lost pets.

Gloucester Township police said they have continually come across many animals, especially dogs, who have escaped their homes and yards. They would post about them on the police department’s social media pages.

Those posts have become very popular over the years, police said. As a result, they have decided to launch the Gloucester Township PD Lost And Found Animals Facebook page. It launched on Nov. 4, and police have posted about a couple of missing dogs since.
