Gloucester Township Site Offers COVID-19 Vaccine To Teens May 27
After offering the Pfizer vaccine to children ages 12-15 next week, it will be available each Thursday, officials said.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Children ages 12 to 15 can begin getting the COVID-19 vaccine at Camden County's vaccination center at Camden County College as of May 27, according to county officials.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended the use of Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine in children ages 12-15 last week.
The vaccine will be offered at the site in the Papiano Gym at Camden County College, 200 College Drive in the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township, each Thursday, beginning May 27.

It is already offered to those age groups at the state’s mega-sites in Moorestown and in Gloucester County.
“While our team continues to stress that all three of the COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective, this is the only vaccine available for children in the 12- to 17-year-old age group,” Camden County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli Jr. said. “We have several thousand doses of Pfizer ready to go for the first time since opening our site, having predominantly had the Moderna and Johnson and Johnson vaccines available to this point. Parents, children, and all county residents are encouraged to come and take advantage of this opportunity if they have not already been vaccinated.”

The vaccination site, which is operated by the county in partnership with Cooper University Health Care and Jefferson Health-New Jersey, is currently accepting patients both with and without appointments.
Nearly 100,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccines have been administered at the site since it opened in January, officials said. In all, more than 249,000 adult residents have gotten at least one dose of a COVID vaccine in Camden County. This is more than 64 percent of the total adult population.
Patients interested in making an appointment to secure their slot can do so by visiting camdencountyvaccine.com or by calling 856-549-0530. The Vaccination Center is currently open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Camden County will also host a pop-up vaccination clinic for residents at McGuire Gardens Park at Boyd and Sewell streets in Camden City at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The vaccine clinic will be open to walk-up patients in the community.
“With each of these clinics, we see patients who would otherwise have skipped the vaccine, but who ultimately made the decision to get protected once they saw how fast and easy it was, and once they saw that it was right there in their community,” Camden County Commissioner Al Dyer said. “If we are going to end this pandemic, we need to get everyone vaccinated, and reaching that goal means bringing the vaccine to where people are, where they can see their friends, family, and neighbors getting the same shot.”
The Camden County Health Department will run this clinic, in partnership with the Rutgers School of Nursing, and Cooper University Health Care.
