Gloucester Township's Memorial Day Service Set For May 31

Mayor David Mayer and Chief of Police David Harkins will visit each of the township's eight Veteran Memorials ahead of the formal ceremony.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Gloucester Township will hold its annual Memorial Day Ceremony with a traditional visit to the township’s memorials before a formal ceremony at Veterans Park, the township announced.

Gloucester Township Mayor David Mayer and Chief of Police David Harkins will visit each of the township’s eight Veteran Memorials ahead of the formal ceremony at Veterans Park at noon.
The memorials are located at:

  • American Legion Post 281
  • Glendora VFW Post 8714
  • 9th Avenue Monument, Glendora
  • Blackwood VFW Post 7927
  • Gloucester Township School
  • Church St. Monument
  • Gloucester Township Community Park
  • Erial Cemetery, Erial
  • Veterans Memorial Park

Veterans Park is located at 1261 Chews Landing Road, next to the municipal building. The service, which is expected to last about an hour, honors and mourns those who died while serving in the United States Military.
