Limited Visitors Allowed At Cooper Hospitals Amid Pandemic
Cooper uses a color-coded system to determine the number of visitors it is permitting. It is currently in "yellow" status.
After previously restricting visitors due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Cooper Health is allowing limited visitors at its hospitals under a color-coded system that was implemented by the state.
The health system uses a color-coded system to determine the number of visitors it is permitting, health officials said. It is currently in yellow status, meaning patients can see one visitor per day.
Some exceptions apply. The breakdown of who can receive visitors and how many they can receive is:

- Inpatient Medical/Surgical, Telemetry and Critical Care: One visitor per day;
- Hospice/comfort care patients: Up to two pre-approved visitors at the bedside only;
- Labor and Delivery: One designated support person for duration of stay. One doula;
- Pediatrics and Pediatric Intensive Care: Two visitors (one parent/guardian at a time);
- Neonatal Intensive Care: Two designated visitors (one designated visitor per day)
- Behavioral Health, ED and Trauma, COVID Positive Patients and Outpatient Offices and Procedures: No visitors
Visiting hours are limited, and all visitors must be 18 years old or older. All visitors must wear masks that will be provided by Cooper, not their own masks. Visitors who do not wear the mask provided will be required to leave.
All visitors will undergo a symptom and temperature check upon entering Cooper facilities. Anyone who fails the screening may communicate with the patient through phone calls, FaceTime, Skype, or other remote methods as appropriate, but will not be allowed to stay in the facility.

All visitors must wash their hands or use hand sanitizer before visiting a patient. Visitors must remain in the patient’s room throughout their visit, except when asked by a Cooper team member to move to another location due to procedure or other reason.
