Man Wanted By Gloucester Township Police Charged After Standoff
A Sicklerville man who had been wanted by Gloucester Township police was arrested after a standoff at his home, police said.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Sicklerville man who had been wanted on unspecified charges out of Gloucester Township was arrested after a standoff at his home that lasted for several hours, according to police.
Winslow Township police attempted to serve criminal arrest warrants to Michael Smith Jr. at his home on Tuesday. The warrants were from both Gloucester and Winslow townships, police said.
When police arrived, Smith fled into his home, according to the Winslow Township Police Department. Police established a perimeter, and the Camden County's Sheriff's Department S.E.R.T. responded to assist.

After several hours, police said they found Smith hiding in the attic. He was arrested without incident, and served with both warrants, police said. He faces additional charges stemming from this incident, police said.
Smith was processed and lodged in the Camden County Jail pending a court hearing.
