NJ Waitress Kidnapped, Assaulted By Group Refusing To Pay: Police
A group who refused to pay their bill at a South Jersey diner kidnapped and assaulted the waitress who confronted them, police said.
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A waitress was kidnapped and assaulted after a group of people attempted to leave a South Jersey diner without paying their bill over the weekend, according to police.
The group of five people tried to leave the Nifty Fifties Diner in Washington Township without paying for their meal at about 11:15 p.m. Saturday night, police said.
When a waitress tried to stop them, they took her into their car and drove away, Washington Township police said. They assaulted her inside the car, and then left her on the side of the road on Route 42, police said.

She was able to return to the restaurant and call police, 6 ABC reports. She was hospitalized with bruises and a possible concussion, and has since been released.
Police have released images of the White Dodge Durango and the people who were involved in the attack on their Facebook page. Those images can be seen below.
