Obituary: Peter J. Celano

Peter J. Celano, a longtime resident of Gloucester Twp., NJ, died on April 22, 2012, at the age of 85 years. Devoted husband for 58 years to Dorothy Celano (nee Lopez). Beloved father of Peter J. Celano, Jr. (Marybeth  Kramer Celano) of Wenonah, NJ, Paul Celano (Mary Curry Celano) of Blenheim, NJ, and Joseph Celano of Egg Harbor Twp., NJ.  Dear brother of Joseph Celano, Paul Celano, the late Anelina Reitano, Frances D’Maria, and Catherine Dercole. Proud and loving grandfather of Peter, William “Bill”, John “Jack”, Gregory, and Stephen.

Mr. Celano was a U. S. Navy Veteran, proudly serving during WWII and Korea. He founded United Metal Products of Barrington, NJ, which he owned and operated from 1955-1962. From 1962 to the present, he has owned and operated Cecil Marine of Williamstown, NJ.

Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, April 26, 2012, 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Hope Parish/St. Agnes Church, 701 Little Gloucester Rd., Blackwood, NJ 08012, where his Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
