Lakeland Road Reopens After Car Overturns In Gloucester Twp: Cops

A 61-year-old man was hospitalized after a car he was the passenger in flipped over on Lakeland Road in Gloucester Township Thursday.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Lakeland Road has reopened after an accident in which a car overturned on Thursday, Gloucester Township police announced.

A 61-year-old man was hospitalized after a car he was the passenger in flipped over, according to police.

The single-car crash happened at about 12:37 p.m., resulting in the closure of Lakeland Road, between the Black Horse Pike and Woodbury-Turnersville Road, Gloucester Township police said Thursday afternoon. At about 7:45 p.m., police announced that the road had reopened.

The man was hospitalized with minor injuries, according to Lt. Jason Gittens. The driver, a 31-year-old woman, was released from the scene. No charges have been filed. The crash was the result of driver inattention, according to police.
