Patch/NJ Aid for Animals Pet of the Week: Sparkles and Mr. Guy

This week's Patch/NJ Aid for Animals Pet of the Week is a two-for-one.

New Jersey Aid for Animals advisory board member Kelly Matthews, a Gloucester Township resident, submitted the following to Patch:

Last week we brought you Ruby, and this week we have for you two very special cats—each needing homes to call their own.

These pictures show Sparkles the kitten and her "big brother," Mr. Guy, lounging around at their current foster location Greentree Tobacco.

Sparkles was rescued on July 4 from a hoarder home. She is only 4 months old. This little girl had such a hard start to her life, but she has beaten the odds and come out shining! She is your typical kitten—loves everyone and especially playing. Clearly she loves other cats, and they love her. Sparkles has had her first shots and wormer. All NJ Aid for Animals pets are spayed or neutered before they are adopted out. Sparkles will be no exception to this rule.

Mr. Guy is 4 years old and, as you can see from the picture, he sure does love other cats. He also has been neutered and is up to date on all shots. He looks just like Morris the famous TV cat and we like to think he's maybe even a little cuter. Mr. Guy is calm and adaptive, and would work well in any home.

If you are interested in either of our two fantastic felines, please feel free to check them out in person at their current foster location Greetree Tobacco, or, if you know right now which is right for your home, head on over to our adoption application here.
