Gloucester is one of three New Jersey municipalities participating in a pilot program dealing with advanced care planning.

Mayor David Mayer will officially launch the “Conversion of a Lifetime” initiative at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Municipal Garden at Gloucester Township Borough Hall. The program focuses on informing the public about advance care planning and for family, friends and doctors to better understand end-of-life wishes.

The initiative is part of the New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute Mayor’s Wellness Campaign Program. Princeton and Tenafly are also part of the pilot program. According to the NJHCQI, the mayor will also unveil the “Talk ‘n Chalk” board, which is an interactive mural that will serve as the community bucket list as well as a conversation starter.
