Safety Guidance For Gloucester Twp. School Return Expected Monday
The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) is expected to release details on a Safe Return Plan Monday.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Black Horse Pike Regional School District returned to five days of in-person learning in March. Those are half-days.
Students in the Gloucester Township K-8 Public School District are currently in schools up to three days a week, but in the fall, school districts across the state will return to full in-person instruction, with no remote learning option.

The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) is expected to release details on a Safe Return Plan Monday. School districts have been instructed to use this template, as well as guidance from the New Jersey Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Protection (CDC) in planning their full return.
A formal plan crafted by the school district will have to be approved by the NJDOE and the local school board.

While the full-remote option will be eliminated in the fall, things will also look a lot different.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended the use of Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine in children ages 12-15 last week, and clinical trials continue for vaccinating students younger than 12.
