Summer Stage Performing Arts Camp Gears Up

The program begins June 25 with Children's Theatre for students entering sixth through 12th grades; the behind-the-scenes Technical Theatre and Video Film Production, for those entering eighth through 12th grades; as well as Apprentice, fourth and fifth graders, according to a news release

Kids Stuff, for children entering second and third grades, has two sessions beginning July 1 and July 22.  There are also programs to extend the day. For Kids Stuff and Apprentice, there’s Storytelling through the Arts and Ready, Set Dance. For those 11 years and up, Mainstage offers the new Mainstage Dance Project. Dancers will study different styles of dance – broadway, ballet, contemporary jazz, hip hop – with instructors from the Mainstage School of Dance as well as guest teachers and choreographers.  

All Summer Stage programs provide performance opportunities. In Children's Theatre, each participant will have the chance to perform in one of the three shows, plus the final musical revue.

This year, the season includes: School House Rock Live, Cinderella G2K, Little Mermaid, and Magic Up Our Sleeves.
