Teen Hit by Car on the Way to School

Gloucester Township Police say speed doesn't appear to be a factor in the pedestrian accident on Good Intent Road at Marshall Avenue.

A car hit a 13-year-old trying to cross the street Tuesday morning in Gloucester Township, police report.

The teen boy was conscious and alert when emergency responders arrived. He was transported to Underwood Memorial Hospital in Woodbury for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police believe the boy was diagonally crossing Good Intent Road at Marshall Avenue at 7:26 a.m. April 23 to reach his school bus. A car struck him, and the driver stopped at the scene. Speed didn’t appear to be a factor in the crash, police say.
