Thrash Dash Into Playoffs
The Gloucester Township Thrash 14U baseball team reached the Tri-State Elite League playoffs for the first time in many years.

While it's been the successes of the Blackwood Kiwanis and Erial Little League programs that have made Gloucester Township Patch's home page in recent weeks, another township baseball team quietly marched toward its own big accomplishment.
Gloucester Township Thrash, a 14-and-under, Cal Ripken Baseball-sanctioned team, has made the playoffs in the Tri-State Elite League for the first time in several years, according to manager Flip Martorano.
The Thrash open playoff action Wednesday against the P Town Indians, of Pennsauken. The game is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at Washington Township Baseball Complex.

Martorano credited the team's five-game winning streak to end the regular season with its first playoff appearance in years.
"This GT Thrash team is a great example of what teamwork, patience, and confidence can accomplish as a unit," he said.  Â
