Timber Creek Boys Basketball Team Opens Season 7-0

Timber Creek has yet to be stopped this season, winning its first seven games, according to nj.com.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Timber Creek Regional High School boys basketball team has yet to be stopped this season. The Charges are off to a 7-0 start, including victories in two showcase events, according to nj.com.

After a 61-53 win over Washington Township to open the season, Timber Creek defeated Haddonfield, 59-49, in the Jimmy V Tournament on Dec. 21. Justin Bladen paved the way to a victory with 22 points, followed by Eric Benjamin with 15 and Demetrius Paynter with 13.

The Chargers then picked up two wins in the Red/Blue Mixer at Williamstown, including a67-64 win over district rival Highland (2-4). Paynter lead the way with 21 points, followed by Benjamin with 17.

In their second game of the showcase, Timber Creek picked up a 77-40 victory over Millville. Since then, Timber Creek has defeated Penns Grove, Seneca and Burlington Township to remain unbeaten. The Chargers return to the court on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 7 p.m. at Bishop Eustace.
