Timber Creek Boys Basketball Team Rebounds From Loss With Big Win

Timber Creek dropped its first game of the season last week, but came big with a big win on Saturday, according to nj.com.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Timber Creek Regional High School boys basketball team rebounded from its first loss of the season with 34-point road victory over the weekend.

Timber Creek opened the season with eight straight victories, but suffered its first defeat at home against Cherry Hill West last Thursday. The Lions won that game by a score of 58-45 behind 19 points from Hakim Melvin on Jan. 9, according to nj.com.

Timber Creek didn’t have to go far to get back on the winning track. On Saturday, Jan. 11,Timber Creek picked up a 91-57 win at Winslow, according to nj.com. Justin Bladen lead the way with 21 points, and Demetrius Paynter had a double double with 16 points and 16 rebounds in the win.

Timber Creek (9-1) will get a shot at redemption when it visits Cherry Hill West (7-2) on Thursday, Feb. 6, 3:45 p.m. The Chargers’ next game is set for 7 p.m. on Tuesday night, Jan. 14, at Camden Catholic (7-2).
